Key Learnings From The Session
1) Keyword Relevance: Keyword relevance in website was the focus for the first part of the session. It was interesting to see how companies employed intelligent keyword strategies to target specific audience. Having relevant keywords makes it easier for customer to find your product.Having the right message, and the right keywords can help Saas based companies reach out to customers more effectively. The biggest lesson is that there is is always scope for improving your website.
2) Effective Home Page: A user friendly home page aids conversion for Saas businesses. This is where the core value offered by the software must be highlighted. Avoid using confusing jargons, and complicated technical terms. Keep this message simple, and clear to make it easy for potential clients to understand your offering, and make better, informed decisions. For example, in case of 99tests, this message should highlight the crowd sourced testing and automation platform.
3) Customer Onboarding: Lastly, successful Saas products have a seamless on boarding process. Make it easy for new clients to sign up and try your product. Keep in mind the appeal of the message and on boarding screens for an international audience. Give them the relevant information that they need to make their decision. Don’t assume that your clients know everything. It helps to put yourself in the client’s shoes and see the on boarding process from their perspective.
4) Market Segmentation: It is also a good idea to segment your clients based on their needs and even geographies. Saas clients from different countries have different expectations in terms of delivery of software services. When your messages and on boarding process is aligned to these expectations, it becomes easier to attract new clients, retain existing ones and build a long lasting relationship with your customers.
The feedback and insights provided was very helpful for the product managers in identifying areas that needed their attention and also in gaining new ideas to make their products great. 99tests is very thankful to ISpirit for the opportunity given for participating in SaaSx4, a platform designed for Saas products by Saas founders.
