What to test

Where apps break on the Poco M4 Pro

Battery saver and Autostart

MIUI and HyperOS can stop apps in the background when Battery saver is on or Autostart is off for your app. Lock the phone for half an hour, then check that push notifications, OTP auto-read and uploads still work, and repeat with Autostart turned off.

Push notifications test cases · OTP login test cases

Fingerprint login

Check the biometric prompt, a failed scan and the fall back to PIN or MPIN, and what happens after a new fingerprint is added in Settings.

Biometric login test cases

4G only

There's no 5G here. Test on a crowded 4G network, and on a weak signal in a lift or basement, where Airtel and Vi SIMs can drop to 2G.

Offline and poor network handling test cases

Launched with Android 11

If the tester hasn't updated past Android 11, apps get notifications without the Android 13 permission prompt, and photo picking uses the older storage permission. Check both paths.

Budget hardware

It launched at ₹14,999. Budget devices are where heavy JavaScript, large images and long lists show up first: check cold start time, scrolling and image-heavy screens.

In-app search test cases

OTP autofill

Check SMS OTP auto-read and the consent prompt, a late OTP, and a dual-SIM phone where the SMS lands on the other SIM. Check resend, expiry and a wrong code too.

Yes. When you book, set the Poco M4 Pro as a target device. Fewer active testers own a Poco M4 Pro. Pick it as a target device when you book; if no one can take a session, it's credited back to you automatically. Testers use their own phones on their own Jio, Airtel or Vi connections.

Do you test on a real Poco M4 Pro or an emulator?
